Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) announcement that he will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court:“We applaud Senator Manchin for announcing that he will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.  He did what all senators should do – review Judge Kavanaugh’s 12-year record as a Circuit Court judge, listen to testimony from all sides and make a well-reasoned and informed decision.  Senator Manchin rejected the vicious smear campaign waged by left-wing activists and others in his party. WASHINGTON – The Judicial Crisis Network (JCN) will start running a new $210,000 TV and digital ad buy in West Virginia today that urges U.S. Sen. Manchin (D-WV) to listen to the people of West Virginia and vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. Bolstering this ad is a post-hearing poll taken by Public Opinion Strategies recently released by JCN that shows the majority of West Virginians want the U.S. Senate to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court bench.

WASHINGTON – The Judicial Crisis Network released fresh Arizona polling taken after yesterday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing by Public Opinion Strategies that found the majority of Arizona voters want Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmed.

Breakdown:

  • Overall, Arizona voters want Brett Kavanaugh confirmed with a margin of 51% – 40%
    • This includes the majority of women voters with a margin of 49% – 43%

Judicial Crisis Network Releases Fresh Polling; Shows Majority of North Dakotans Support Confirming Judge Kavanaugh

WASHINGTON – The Judicial Crisis Network released fresh polling from North Star Opinion Research that found the majority of North Dakota voters want the U.S. Senate to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. 
 
North Dakota voters say that Judge Kavanaugh should be confirmed by 53 to 28 percent. This includes support among independents by a 54 to 24 percent margin, and among women by a 47 to 30 percent margin.

Liberal activists have targeted Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) in an effort to pressure her to vote against President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, but she said their “threats” and attempts to “bully” will not influence her decision on whether to support the nominee.

Collins said she will instead vote based on “[Kavanaugh’s] qualifications, his character and integrity, judicial temperament, his record, and his respect for the rule of law and fidelity to the Constitution.”
